If you are the kind who likes to play safe with your decor and go the tried and tested way, a traditional coffee table is the one for you.
An average height coffee table with a smooth polished finish would go perfectly with a traditional living room set up. Delicate carving along the sides of the table and curved table legs are the thing to choose.

Well, not exactly a coffee table with the tricolour across it. But a table with an Indian touch to it. Opt for something low, just about a foot off the ground. Go with traditional wood with a hint of gold or copper inlay work on it.
Try accentuating the coffee table with a brass pot and may be a simple mat with a zari border below it.
