Do up the entire back wall with thick bamboo sticks. Arrange them in an asymmetrical maze with gaps between the sticks. Fit your wine bottles into these slots. You could also have a separate bamboo rack. Place all the similar coloured bottles in one row, with  backlighting.

Use coloured or stained glass shelves to display those miniatures of rum, vodka and whisky. A collection of Hard Rock Cafe glasses from around the world would make a great display too.

Choose brightly coloured laminate or veneer for the mixing and serving counter. Brighten up the place with tequila glasses, champagne flutes, wine and cocktail glasses, all lined up in sets on the counter itself.

Open out those empty beer cartons and use them to cover the front of the bar counter. One of those complimentary car sunshades would be pretty cool too.

Get a little more creative and hang strings of coloured beads all along rim of the counter. Complete it with a couple of bamboo bar stools with the same kind of funky beads around the seat.

Don't go for very bright lighting. Instead try a panel of disco lights above the counter. Lava lamps would also fit this style.
