With half of the film industry wearing wigs to make them look younger and different, wigs nowadays are more or less like a trend.
Here is how you can choose and get your first wig…
As Good As Real
Many people often hesitate to buy a wig thinking everyone may actually know that they are wearing one! But these days, wigs are made of healthy human hair. So it feels just like real hair and no one will guess that's it's not your real hair.
There are fewer chances of you getting disappointed as most of the times wigs look even better than natural hair.
That is, unless you go for funky wigs that are used for costume parties. These are made of plastic and come in rainbow colours.
Types of Wigs
By types of wigs we don't mean the length and texture of hair. Wigs can be worn in two different ways. It can be either clipped on or glued on the scalp, depending on your condition.
If you are wearing a wig to increase the volume of your hair, you can use clip-on wigs that can be clipped on natural hair. The clips are on the inside and won't be seen once you wear the wig.
But if you have a receding hairline or are balding, then opt for wigs that can be glued on to your scalp.
Health Issues
Remember, a wig is an accessory. So, chances are if you stick your wig to the scalp with a glue, that could be a reason for an allergy. If the glue doesn't suit you it could lead to a rash.
In case the skin on your scalp is too sensitive, consult a dermatologist.
