No wonder self-help books become bestsellers in no time. But the question is do they really work?
Let's see what celebrities have to say about self-help books they've read and how they have affected them.
"It changed the course of my life."
- TV Show Host, Pooja Bedi
I think self help books help you embark on an inner journey. It is fascinating to discover the mysteries of the universe through a unique thought process. It is a stimulant for your own thought process and growth as an individual.
So whether it is a self-help book on relationships or spirituality, I think they help one heal one's self or find one's self.
I love authors like Freud, Osho and Deepak Chopra. But the book that really worked for me is 'Who Moved My Cheese?'. That 45-minute read was simply effective. It made me realise I didn't have any cheese. I was hungry for cheese. That's when I got my divorce and I have never looked back since.
