Organise Your Stuff
An organised kitchen makes cooking so much easier. So make sure that everything is in order and in their respective places. De-cluttering would be an excellent way to start organising.

- Get rid of all the stuff that you do not use. Cracked glasses, chipped cups, scratched plates, pots and pans with broken handles etc. have got to go.
- Undertake a spring-cleaning of the entire kitchen one weekend or whenever you find the time. Clean the inside of the cabinets, drawers and racks and wipe all the containers before you store them back.
- It would be helpful to line the shelves in cabinets and bottoms of drawers with newspaper. This way in case anything spills you can clean it up easily.

Now that everything is cleared up, you can organise it all the way you want.
- Opt for pullouts in your kitchen. They are very convenient as they make access easy and also occupy less space.
- Keep all the items you use everyday like salt, sugar, tea etc. at hand. Don't store utensils you use daily at a height.
- Label the covers of all masala jars, pickle bottles and spice boxes so that you can identify what you want the moment you open the drawer.
