Slip-in Pads
If you are looking for a permanent solution, then get a pair of slip-in pads. These are the extra padding you get with some sports bras and even swimwear.
All you need to do is slip them inside the cups of your cotton bra. They are usually made of sponge and have a layer of nylon over them.
Slip-in pads are available at local lingerie shops and come in different sizes and thickness. They come in three different colours - black, white and nude.
Smart Aid
When you are on your way to a party and have no time to go back and change your bra, stop by at a chemist or general store and pick-up a couple of band-aids. Stick them on to your nipples. Try this when wearing a tight bustier or tube top with which you don't want to wear a bra.
Sticky Solution
Another sticky solution, one which you can try at work or home, is
cello tape. Being transparent, it won't show through your top or look bad when you are changing in the gym.
You can also use medical tapes, but make sure you wet them before taking them out. It will make removing them smoother and painless.
Paper Power
If you are allergic to the glue used in tapes and band-aid, then fold a tissue paper and slip it in your bra. When you are at a party and have no time to stop at a chemist, make use of this serviette.
Warm-up
This usually occurs during winter, so place a warn towel or napkin on your breast. You can even rub your hands and place it on your breasts to pass on the warmth. But remember that this is only a temporary solution.
Layer-it
You can also wear a cotton tube top over your cotton bra. It will provide extra layer of fabric and won't make the nipples prominent.
Be Prepared
Always be prepared! If you are wearing a thin top, then carry a jacket or stole to cover yourself. Match it with your clothes and make a style statement.
So the next time you come across such a situation, always remember that you might find a solution in your drawer. Or you can be bold and flaunt them, Rachel from FRIENDS made a sexy statement but doing this.
