Pick a sofa set with smooth, straight lines. You could go with low seating and be sure to keep a few simple, cotton throw cushions around. Remember to hide all utility spaces. Get a sofa set with a built-in storage.

For centre and corner tables, choose dark wood in combination with glass or acrylic tops and steel bases. Also, keep your television and media cabinet simple. Go easy on the number of shutters used. Stick to neat, cubed designs.

Avoid elaborate showcases and cabinets. If you really need to display something, go with simple glass slabs fitted directly into the wall. Or use simple metal or wrought iron frames. While choosing curios and other knick knacks, pick simple, yet stunning pieces like a flower vase or a platter. Try and avoid clutter. Also, go with glass or crystal options.
