Many women make several trips to the parlour, join weight-loss programs and buy expensive cosmetics and still end up feeling stressed because they just are not beautiful enough.

They all look the same- pouting lip, cleavage showing, flat stomach, shiny lustrous skin and a skimpy dress.

A Lengthy Make-up Session

"Make-up makes you look optically correct. It corrects each feature to such a degree that it appears symmetrically perfect. During a typical make up session each part of the face is worked on," says Clint Fernandes, celebrity make-up artist.

The skin tone can be altered from dark to light and all the skin blemishes can be covered beneath the layer of make-up.

"A lot of models and actresses do not have the flawless complexion that you see in billboard ads. The eyebrows are raised, the cheeks are highlighted and the nose is shaped up in several cases". adds Clint.

A Photographer Reveals

"Every woman looks her best from one particular angle, we make sure most of the snaps are taken from angles that make the model look good. The lighting effects can make a woman look a lot slimmer than she really is," says Rohan Dsouza, Fashion Photographer.

According to him, when you see a stunning picture of a model, 40% is what she looks in reality another 40% is the work of the make-up artist and the photographer, and rest is left to the Photoshop.
