6. Time is of essence. Since both of you are working, spending quality time with one other becomes difficult. You should expect him to make an effort to spend time with you especially if you have common holidays.
7. Spoiling and pampering still works. Even though you are a practical career woman, you should expect him to remember that you are still a woman who likes to be pampered once in a while. He should still be able to take your breath away.
8. Divide the chores equally. You are both working long hours six days a week and have just the Sunday to tend to your home. It is fair to expect him to help you with the household chores over the weekend.
9. Your job is important too. You should expect him to understand and believe that your job is as important to you as his is to him.
10. Wife first, friends later. Since you are both working, you two will be hard pressed for time. So if he has an option of having a late night with his friends or colleagues after work versus coming home to you, it is okay for you to expect him to come home to you.

However, if this becomes a habit and daily occurrence, you need to talk and clear things out with him.
Housework Is Work Too
11. You are not free during the day. You should expect him to understand and know that just because you are a full-time mum does not mean you are doing nothing during the day. Being a homemaker is as stressful as being a career woman. Handling home, kids and cooking is as taxing and tiring as holding a job.
12. Your kids need daddy as well. Just because you look after a major part of your kid's needs and problems during the week, it does not mean that your husband should only earn. Expecting him to spend quality time with you and your children over the weekend and on holidays is perfectly normal.
13. You need an outing too. He is working all week and you are at home all day. So when the weekend comes he will probably want to put his feet up and rest. That is okay as long as he understands that you need to be taken out sometimes as well. So, he could catch up on his hobbies and rest during the day and take you out for a nice dinner in the night.
14. A listening ear for you would help. One of the best ways to de-stress at the end of a day is by talking to your better half. Your husband may want to relax a little by burying himself in paper or watching TV. It is okay for you to expect him to listen to how your day went or any issues you faced at home or with the kids.
Give him his time and then, very gently, tell him about your day.
15. You need money too. Just because you are a homemaker does not mean you have to ask your husband for money all the time. He should know that you need money not just for household expenses but to spend on yourself too.
