Another Nach Baliye couple Sai Deodhar and Shakti Anand may have had a difficulty matching steps on the show. But they certainly have no problems walking hand-in-hand through life.
Sai says: The most important thing that a successful marriage needs is to have a reality check all the time. By this I mean that being true to oneself and your spouse is one of the most important things.
It is easy to get carried away with the glamour but as far as possible we try and remain grounded. Besides this we respect and value each other.
For example, when our show is on air and we are on a high it is easy to get carried away. But success too has an end and it is important to hold each other when the low point comes.
It is also important to remember that just a part of us is successful, but there is a lot more to us than just the success. At the end of the day, we too finish work and return home to our families. Media pressure or not, there is a lot of understanding and continuous growth in one’s marriage as it goes through different life phases.
Our love for each other is what eventually gets us through, in spite of the marital ups and downs.

Archana Puran Singh and Parmeet Sethi is a couple who’ve fought the odds. She is a little older than him and they met when both were just out of relationships.
Archana says: I believe that our marriage is like any other marriage. We have to work on it continuously. This simply means that we have our arguments, misunderstandings and fights but like any couple, we work at it continuously.
Since we are in the same profession we understand each other better. We know how the industry works and also about the price one pays for living in public eye.
Yes, there are rumours floating around but we take each rumour as it comes. In fact I believe that we need a sense of humour to deal with these rumours and that is what we do. We just laugh it off.
Having said that sometimes rumours can create problems in marriage. Remember that if someone knows that he is the philandering kind then there maybe problems in the marriage. But I believe that it take much more than rumours to break a marriage up.
There is really no question about fame becoming a block in our marriage simply because we take pride in each other’s fame and are confident of each other. In fact it feels great to be married to a famous person. Just as we feel good about being famous ourselves we feel good and proud of our spouse’s fame too.
