Creams That Help
Dr. Coelho suggests you use medicated creams such as Rash Free and Siloderma. You can use any other antibacterial or anti-fungal creams, but stay away from your regular cold cream.
Using ice may cause comfort for a few minutes, but won't really help get rid of the rash.
Clothes to Wear
If you wear tight, fitting jeans, the friction between your thighs and the pad increases. Even tight clothes do not allow ventilation. Stay away from synthetic materials as well because it does not absorb sweat.
If you are prone to rashes during your periods, wear loose cotton pants, skirts or dresses to reduce chances of friction.
Remember, if your rash is too painful and doesn't go away, visit a gynaecologist or dermatologist, as it could be caused due to reasons other than your periods.
