Water Water!
Everyone is talking about why you need to drink lots of water in a day. Why? Aanchal Achipalya, Nutritionist, Talwalkars Gym says, "When you are hydrated, every cell in your body functions at an optimal level.
Also, within 10 minutes of having water, your BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate) remains elevated for around 40 minutes."

Eat Away
Instead of having three whole meals, have five meals throughout the day with a gap of two and half to three hours each.
According to Richa Anand, Dietician, Hiranandani Hospital in Mumbai, when you eat more frequently, your body automatically works out more. In this manner, your metabolism will be active constantly.
However, Richa also adds that it does not mean that you eat anything and everything. She recommends snacks like popcorn, soups, sprouts, fruits and buttermilk. Deep-fried, heavily salted and extra-sweet food is better avoided.
Don't Skip Breakfast
It is a common fact that skipping breakfast is not a good idea. According to Aanchal, throughout the night, your body is deprived of food. Therefore your metabolism has slowed down considerably.
If your cells do not receive the nutrients, they will begin to function less efficiently and actually store fat during these times.
Never Starve Yourself
The more you starve, the tougher it is for you to lose weight.
Reason?
Aanchal says that if you are dieting, your body metabolism slows down to compensate for the lack of nutrients.
This is because lean people have a higher metabolic rate whereas obese people have a lower metabolic rate."
Get That Timing Right
It is not only important to eat right, but also at the right time. Don't send confusing signals to your body with erratic timing. Stick to a time and follow it regularly.
So, if you decide to have dinner at 8 o' clock, make sure you stick to that time everyday. The same should be followed for breakfast and lunch and snack timings as well.
