Your posture, walking style and even mattress have been checked and cleared.
Maybe it is time you checked your pillow.
Pillow Pains
Dr. Sidhwa, orthopaedic specialist says, "The ideal pillow should be between 1½ to 2 inches in height. It should be neither too hard nor soft."
While sleeping, the pillow must keep your head, neck and back perfectly aligned. You should feel comfortable and rested without any pain or pressure in the neck, shoulders and back area.
Height is Bad!
Dr. Prasham Shah, Orthopaedic Specialist says, "A high pillow stresses the muscles in your neck, upper shoulders and lower spine, which could lead to cervical spondylitis."
Besides the pressure, you might find it difficult to breathe and may even start to snore.
On the other hand, if your pillow is too low, it will cause your head and neck to fall backward. This will put a lot of pressure on your head, neck, upper shoulders and spine.
