The rain water and puddles increase mosquitoes. This can be the cause of malaria and dengue. Make sure that you have a mosquito net around your beds. Use a mosquito repellent cream at night as an added precautionary measure.
Water borne diseases are rampant and even if you have an acquguard at home make sure that you boil the water after that. Boiling the acquguard water for about 20 minutes will kill any germs and bacteria that remain in the water.
If You are Diabetic
If your feet get wet in the rain (maybe when you are on your way to work) then make sure that you remove your shoes as soon as you get to work. Clean your feet thoroughly and dry them with a clean towel.
It will be a good idea to keep an open pair of slippers, an extra pair of shoes and socks and your towel at work.
Change into your slippers once you clean and dry your feet at work. Keep your feet absolutely dry during the day.
