Here are a few easy-to-overlook mistakes that you can avoid.
Easy Does It

For instance, a tradition such as packing either 51 or 101 sarees may not be the best thing for you, if you don't wear sarees. So avoid wastage.
Pack your trousseau with practical clothes that you will wear. Pick outfits in the quantity that you would wear them in.
It's a Saree
If you are wearing a saree, then make sure that you try the different types of draping styles a month in advance. This way you will be sure of what style suits you and what method of draping you are most comfortable with.
'Gown'ing Glory
The perfect white wedding and the perfect white wedding gown…and you must keep it that way, perfect.
When ordering your gown, make sure that you have extra material on the inside of the gown. Remember it is easier to take the dress in, than to open it up.
All that wedding stress could make you lose or even gain weight. The extra material will allow your seamstress to give you the perfect fit a week before the wedding.
The Lehenga Way
A heavily embroidered lehenga-choli, with rich material, sounds regal, right? But will you be able to handle the weight?
Some brides are burdened with the sheer weight of the outfit, which makes moving around and enjoying the big day rather difficult.
Goldmine or Neckline?
Most Indian brides wear all their jewellery on the wedding day. This not only looks overdone, it also takes away from the bridal outfit and weighs you down.
So while you may want to show the world all the jewellery you own, make sure that you wear a set that compliments your bridal ensemble. Keep it classy and comfortable.
