Sai was about to leave for her pheras at 10:30 in the morning, when Shakti calls her and asks her not to leave home. He was very serious when he called and that freaked Sai out.
Sai says, "Here I was ready to leave and I was shocked when I received the call."
Apparently Shakti had just woken up. The couple, as we all know, did get married, only they were a couple of hours late.
Dancing With Strangers
Mahesh Abyankar, 31, IT Professional and his friends were excited about their best friend's wedding. They planned to dance away at his baraat and even pull the groom's leg along the way.
They had a good time dancing their hearts out for 30 minutes. After that it was time for the groom to do a little ritual with the money. This is when the groom showed the world his face.
Mahesh and his friends were shocked to see that they were dancing at a stranger's wedding.
Here is what happened: that particular day was supposed to be one of the most auspicious days of the year to get married. Delhi had a wedding at practically every corner. Mahesh and his friends planned to meet at a point where the baraat was leaving.
They parked the car and realised that the street was full of baraats going to different venues. They joined the right baraat or what they thought was the right baraat.
Running Phera Late
Priyanka Singh, 24 was late for her pheras. The baraat had already reached her door and she was nowhere close to the venue. Her family had to stall the baraat, with a few extended pujas. In the meanwhile Priyanka arrived.
Since her car did not have tainted windows, she had to sneak into the mandap through a side entrance.
Look, There Is Chicken on My Dress
Natasha Nagwekar, 29, was ravenous after all the dancing at her wedding. The chicken cafreal looked good. One problem though, lot of it fell on her dress as she was serving herself.
She then took the curry off with tissues and covered the stain with the train of her veil. She made sure that she sat for most of what was left of the evening. No more after-dinner dancing for Natasha.
