Advantages
Just when you are thinking about the problems that can occur if you marry during rains, here are some of the advantages…
- Just like you have shoe sales all over during monsoon, prices of caterers also go down and venue managers are ready to bargain.
- It is unbelievable but people actually book popular wedding halls a year in advance. Well if you are an august bride, you will get your desired venue even a week in advance.
- It is a great idea to escape from the city and have a wedding at a hill station or even Goa! For once this will keep those far off aunts happy. Your wedding will be a great vacation for all and everyone will remember you.
- Monsoon is a very romantic time and tying the knot with raindrops falling all around itself makes those good feelings flowing.

Special Arrangements
Water proofing in the venue is a must or else it will be difficult to keep the hawand burning. To be one the safer side have an indoor wedding. Make sure there are no leakages anywhere.
Provide valet with large umbrellas to help them get in the venue form their car. You can also make arrangements for cars to pick and drop some of the selective guest.
As soon as the guests enter provide cloth napkins instead of paper ones. Also make sure there is a clean and spacious washroom available at the venue for the guest to freshen up and change their clothes.
For Food Lovers
The wedding menu should be very interesting and safe as this is the time when people are very careful about what they eat. Everything has to be fresh, and the best way to do this by having live counters!
Ask you caterer to provide an insect catcher, as flies are likely to enter when it rains outside.
Make it Happy
Add some special touches to brighten the ambience. You can do this by using bright colours to decorate the venue. Play classic monsoon songs at the reception. You can also make rain your theme by using fountains, umbrellas and rainbows around the venue.
