Living 'Here', Marrying 'There'?

Marriage - here, there or anywhere - sure is exciting. But are you prepared to get married outside your home turf?

If you plan to tie the knot outside your home turf, here are a few things you need to keep in mind:
- Make sure you visit the location a month before your wedding to check out hotel, vehicle and catering facilities available not only for yourself but also for your guests.
- Make sure the weather conditions are just right for a wedding. You don't want to be caught in a sudden shower or a heat wave.
- As far as possible, carry your wedding essentials with you. This can include your make-up kit and other skin and hare care products.
- If you plan to use the services of a local beautician, do opt for a trial session with her. Alternatively, take your beautician along, but make sure to inform her of the travel plans in advance.
- The type of water (hard or soft) may not suit your hair or skin if you are sued to a particular type. Go prepared to deal with such a situation and arm yourself with home based hair and skin remedies.
- Make sure you confirm your tickets, hotel rooms and transit vehicles in advance. Similarly, confirm your guest list and make arrangements accordingly.
- Last but definitely not the least, keep your finances in check and make sure you don't overshoot your budget!
