Sweet and Simple
Beauty comes naturally and you don't always need loads of make-up to make you look beautiful on the most special day of your life.
- Why
The reason one uses a lot of make-up for a wedding is to make the face appear flawless and different from how you usually look. If you are not planning to wear too much make-up for your wedding make sure you get beautiful and healthy skin so that you won't have to try hard to get it.
- When
Start your skin rejuvenation at least six months in advance. You need to follow a healthy diet, which means, give up eating chips for a while.
- What
If you have any skin problems such as acne, consult a dermatologist. Get your skin checked and follow the prescription religiously. But if you don't have enough time for the prescription, go for a skin surgery. Clinics such as Kaya have packages for fast healing.
Less is Good
If you have it flaunt it. That definitely goes for healthy skin, so you don't always need to hide it behind make-up. But you can't get married without looking a bit fancy, so make sure you have at least the minimum make-up on in the right way.
First get the base make-up right. This will give your face evenness and hide all the flaws (if any). If your cheeks don't turn pink by pinching, apply a hint of blush.
The wedding day is going to be very hectic, and very rarely will you get proper sleep. So eyes are one place where you have to focus, you can't afford to look dull and sleepy. Plain eyeliner will make your eyes look droopy, so use kajal to make your eyes look wider. And for the lips, primp them with lip balm and then use gloss. But you will have to touch-up your gloss many times. To avoid that use a long stay lip colour at the base (after the lip balm).

How Much is Too Much
Is your make-up just right or are you all caked up? Almost all brides think of this when they see themselves in heavy make-up for the first time.
The make-up is just right when it covers all the flaws and highlights your best features, be it lips or eyes.
But when you are looking like a completely different person and think you've got a plastic surgery done, then you know you are all caked up.
Make-up is meant to enhance your looks not change them.
