Showy Shelves

Make sure your bathroom has sufficient light and ventilation. The moisture in a bathroom makes it the perfect place to grow plants. And there is so much you can work with... in terms of arrangement and décor that is.

Take for instance, that windowsill. Wouldn't it look so much brighter with a beautiful plant?

But if you are worried about cluttering the windowsill, try placing a plant on the basin counter. Be sure to get a pot with a plate, so the place doesn't get messy while watering.

If you have the space, insert two or three marble or tempered glass shelves in steps on one wall. Another option is to place a creeper on a shelf below the mirror and let it grow and intertwine around the frame.

Colourful Picks

Add a little colour with some fresh flowers. Place them anywhere around the bathroom in pretty glass or ceramic vases.

Flowers need to be changed every two days or so. If it falls to expensive, experiment with other ideas.

Choose coloured ceramic stands and hanging pots that go with the colour of the bathroom tiles and other accessories. These work well for soil- potted plants too.

Water plants are even more exciting to work with. You could put marantas and other small plants in pretty glass bowls with colourful pebbles. Instead of pebbles, you could also use neon-coloured glass chips.

Hanging Gardens

Hanging baskets with brake ferns, suspended from the window roofing are especially beautiful. They have cascading foliage all the way down the window that give the bathroom an exquisite look.
