Sherley Singh, a mother of two and wife of noted Bollywood composer, Raju Singh, came up with a concept that could make your little one, a little genius.
Yes, we are talking about the Creative Head and Director of Kangabeats, a children's edutainment company. The company has produced musicals for theatre, CDs, books etc.
Sherley Singh is the creative head and force behind unique events such as 'Black Lit Theatre' for kids for the first time in India.
We spoke to her and asked her about her inspirations and success quotient.
What is Kangabeats all about?
Kangabeats is a novel musical approach to studying that stimulates the brain, the emotions and the body simultaneously. Kangabeats aims at giving education to kids in a different format.
The concept we use is a collaboration of music and education. It is founded on the premise that auditory impulses structure the way we learn and music ensures learning for a life time.
This simply means that what you hear has a huge impact on what you learn. The music activates the right brain and the words your child is reading or saying aloud activates the left brain.
Researchers have discovered direct evidence that music stimulates different regions of the brain responsible for memory, motor control, timing and language. This results in a five fold increase in the learning potential of your little one.
