"I think it's a good constructive idea. In my experience, at around age 12, or till then, kids are ignorant (in the good way) and unprejudiced. They listen to their teachers and elders with any misjudgement, and inculcate the ideas and thoughts into their daily lives," he says.
According to him, even teachers wont feel awkward to teach younger students about sex and sexual organs. Once the kids reach standard 11 and 12, it gets more difficult to break the ice.
So, any advice to parents on this front?
"Yes of course, parents play a pivotal role in this process. Sometimes parents just dont talk about these issues at home, so it gets difficult for kids to inform parents if and when they have any problems with the sexual organs. There is an inherent uneasiness. However, if parents can start speaking to their kids about sex and sexual organs, it becomes so much more easier for them to communicate," he concludes.
