Most are engineers by profession.
Shweta and her team now no longer need to go door to door for collection of toys; instead the network developed by them ensures that toys keep coming in.
Remarkably, Shewta has created a strong support group of about 100 volunteers. They help during the distribution sessions organised during public holidays.
Want to donate to the Toy Bank?

Toy Bank has observed a few basic principles right from its inception:
- toys and games that are donated must be in good condition
- board-games, puzzles and building blocks must be complete
- toys promoting violence like guns, swords are not accepted
- lifestyle based toys like Barbie dolls are a complete no-no, as Shweta strongly believes that Barbie is not a toy but an aspiration linked lifestyle.
-Toys are checked to ensure that gender discrimination is not promoted
Shweta thinks even the process before the toy distribution begins, is important. "At the distribution venue, the volunteers discuss topics such as sharing, caring and communal tolerance with the children. They do it with the help of story-telling sessions and a puppet or magic show.
This helps the children open up, and eventually the volunteers talk to the kids to try and identify their dreams.
When the Pandora's Box of aspirations opens, children express their desires to become pilots, doctors, army officers, models, teachers, policemen, space scientist and much more.
Our volunteers try to match these dreams with the toys that are available."
