6. Life and health insurance

For her & him: Remember that ad where the wife asks her husband to sign up for a life insurance policy and he teasingly asks, "Can you live without me?”

Truth is, s/he might not. But s/he must. To make sure s/he does respectably, you must sign that dotted line.

If you don't have an insurance cover, this is a good time to buy one. Gift her/ him by insuring your own life. S/he will have much to thank you for.

The same goes for health insurance. You don’t want her/ him putting her/ his hand out for funds when you are recovering from a health condition.

Tip: Again, insurance is a specialised financial product. Consult a qualified financial advisor before you put your money.
