
You may think being addicted to sex can be taken lightly because sex is a process that comes so naturally to humans.
However, sex addiction is a serious psychological problem that requires therapy and treatment at the earliest.
"While sex is a wonderful process, too much of anything is always a problem," says Dr. Rajan Bhonsle.
Remember, drinking one or two cups of tea in a day is normal; but if you drink 10 cups of tea in a matter of three hours, then surely it is a sign that you are addicted to tea.
In the same way, sex is good; but if you find that sex is hampering your life to an extent that you are messing up your normal routine, relationships, health, work and daily performance, you know that you have an addiction issue.
The Feel Good Factor
Remember, no one becomes an addict by choice. It always starts with that one cigarette or that one cocaine drag. It's the high you get out of these items that eventually get you addicted to it.

That is why you would get a feel-good effect while smoking. Chain smokers have admitted feeling empty inside if they have not smoked a cigarette even after waking up in the morning.
During intercourse, a whole lot of endorphins are released into your body. These feel good hormones give you the "high" during orgasms, as well as relieve you of minor aches and pains, thus giving you an overall happy feeling. Sometimes these feel good feelings can become addictive.
So, if you get a high out of the endorphins released during sex, and could go through any measure to get that high, regardless of situation or partner, chances are, you are addicted to sex.
