This International Women's Day, IndiWo has one goal for our readers: Beat stress. Pamper yourself!
What do women do to feel pampered and cared for? We set out to find just that.
In the first of a series, we talk to well known journalist Sathya Saran. These are a few of her favourite things.
My perfume: Angel by Thierry Mugler. I prefer Angel by Thierry Mugler because I believe this one reflects my personality the most. Of course, I have a few others. But this one tops the list."
Sunglasses which characterise me: Versace and Oakley. I alternate between Versace and Oakley because these pairs make their own style statement.
My favourite cuisine: I am experimental. I am very experimental when it comes to food, so I don't really have one particular favourite. Each type of cuisine and restaurant has that unique quality. And savouring all this is a truly delightful, gastronomical experience.
Foods I love: Mumbai Bhel puri. I love experimenting when it comes to food but this chaat dish just wins hands down.
Food aromas: Vanilla. Vanilla is an aroma that gets my tastebuds going. The aroma is mild and enticing and this contradiction makes it my absolute favourite.
My preferred skincare brand: Various brands. I keep flirting with various brands all the time. I have not put my finger on just one favourite.
Must carry cosmetic/ skincare item: I simply must carry Dr Jamuna Pai's oil free moisturiser in my bag. This suits my skin. Since it is oil free, it ensures that my skin gets all its essential oils keeping it oil free.
My haircare product: L'Oreal conditioner. It smoothens my hair and makes my hair look and feel great!
My favourite shoe brand: Bally's. It's my all-time favourite. They have a wide range of styles and looks and the footwear gloves my feet.
My favourite Indian and Western designer: Versace and Armani are my favourite international designers because of their classic fits and style.
I have a whole list of favourite Indian designers, but a few are Ritu Kumar, Rajesh Pratap Singh and Shantanu and Nikhil who do wonders with textile, colour and fabric.
How I de-stress: I just sing. Singing helps me relax. And exercising my vocal chords helps me release stress.
The French Lavender agarbatti from Pondicherry is one fragrance that de-stresses me completely. It is easy on my sense of smell and that gently helps my body relax.
