ALEPA
Anointing the Body
With 120 minutes of sheer bliss, Alepa is a new signature treatment that represents the aura privileged lifestyle of Indian royalty.
The treatment consists of a shower, hammam (Turkish name for a steam bath), herbal mud application, an outdoor shower, soaking in the sun, and a choice of indoor showers, relaxation with light herbal refreshments, and an optional deep tissue relaxation massage.
Alepa may be experienced alone or along with your spouse. You may apply the pastes on yourself or you may apply it on each other for an interactive, engaging and bonding experience. While therapists are always at call, Alepa believes in anointing the body oneself, a person honours the body.
The Alepa method uses a range of four muds that cover over 40 ingredients from the Indian array of herbs starting with the very common and readily found neem, brahmi, amla and including the more exotic and rare sandalwood and Jatamansi.
This spa treatment cost about Rs.2000 and it is available at The Taj Spa.
JIVANIYA
Invigorating
This is an energising treatment to relieve muscular tension and improve blood circulation. The treatment includes an exfoliating herbal scrub, a heat-stimulating wrap of exotic spices and herbs from the hills of India comprising nutmeg, cinnamon and aniseed.
This is followed by a massage that uses the oil blends of Nagarmotha and Fennel to stimulate the nervous system and is ideal for someone low in energy.
It will cost you around Rs.3500 and it is available at the Taj Spa.
