Can Your Past Set You Free?

A Journey to a Lifetime or Several Ago
Hypnosis is state when the individual is in a trance. It is characterised by relaxation and heightened imagination. The individual's mind is relaxed so that the therapist can draw out the information stored in the memory.
Meditation is a process used to calm the mind in order to get the individual to regress.
Breathing techniques or hyper-ventilation help release information from the memory cells. The therapist starts you with gentle breathing and gradually has you take gulping deep breaths releasing air forcefully. The amount of breaths varies according to each individual. The breathing techniques take you back in time and create a mental picture for you.
Bridging Techniques involve imagery and relaxing exercises. Here, words or emotions are used to get you into an altered state. The person is conscious all the while.

Besides hypnosis, meditation and breathing techniques I also use Kinesiology. This is an interactive procedure where I hold the patient's arm and observe each minute arm and muscle movement. I ask pointed questions and observe how the body responds. Accordingly, I know whether the answer to a question is a yes or no.
Was that Really my Life?
Different individuals react to their past lives differently. I prepare them by using the Emotional Empowerment Technique that is done before regression. This helps the individual relieve negative emotions like fear of the session. It also helps in dealing with what they recall, no matter how disturbing.
An individual may scream, yell or even cry while regressed. It all depends on how traumatic the memory and how well equipped she is to handle it. Seeing and then accepting the memory will help you solve you present life afflictions and problems.

Though most people choose to regress, the experience may be difficult and even traumatic. Sometimes it is hard to believe what you see while regressed. Before beginning PLT, prepare yourself with the help of your therapist for anything that you may see.
