Fails While In School…
First you need to find out the reason why she has failed in her exams. If she is intelligent but is unable to concentrate or gets distracted easily, you need to first help her to sit down, concentrate and start studying. Sit with her while she is studying.
You can also send her to a private tuition or coaching classes where she will be compelled to sit and study.
If she is not interested in studying, you need to find out the reason. In such a case, you can take the help of a psychologist for some counselling session.

If she keeps failing repeatedly then you need to find out exactly what the problem is. In case she is unable to cope with the curriculum, you can probably make her repeat the class. Repeating a class does help, because she will be able to focus on the same curriculum again and understand it much better, says Geeta Narayan, a teacher with a school in Mumbai.
Also, there is also the possibility of she being disturbed because of some family problems.
Dr. Seema Hingorrany, a child psychologist tells us of a case where the girl was intelligent but disturbed. She did not study hard and took the board exams lightly.
To add to the problem, she had a bad peer group. She was very rebellious and was having an affair. Just before her board exams she broke up with her boyfriend.
Consequently, she failed her SSC exams. Her parents were shocked when they found out she failed in just one subject. Instead of shouting or hitting her, they took her to a psychologist. In due course of counselling, they realised that she was mentally disturbed because her parents were busy and had no time for her. She felt lonely.
On knowing the exact cause for her failure, her parents decided to spend time with her and help her with studies. On doing so, the next year when she reappeared for her exams and passed with good marks.
