Designer Anupamaa Dayal tells you how to recreate the 90's look.
Make Up? Not Really

'There-but-not-quite-there' look was in-thing in the 90's. Eye shadow was not used at all. Black eyeliner and kohl pencil were really big.
Lips were lined and the lip colour was almost nude. Lip gloss was (and still is) a must-have.
Coloured contact lenses really arrived during this decade - from celebs to girls-next-door went colour-eyed.
The Kurti Debut
The late 90's were revolutionary because this is when the fabulous and ever popular indo-western look came in.
The kurtis were teamed with jeans or even capris. This is also the decade that ushered in the birth of the capris in India.
This look is still quite hot in 2000s - Prices for kurtis start at Rs. 400 and can go up depending on where you buy it from.
You can pick up nice cotton kurtis from departmental stores such as Fab India and Shoppers Stop. These department stores are located practically all over India.
Department stores like Westside, Lifestyle and Globus also stock a range of Kurtis.
