Your bridal outfit must have cost you a few thousands, so don't let it hide deep in your closet! Be smart and use it while it still fits. Here are a few ways in which you can use your wedding outfit. Team it with another outfit or turn it into a completely different one!
Four Ways to Mix and Match
- A heavy ghagra-choli can turn into two different outfits. Team it with a plain dupatta and it won't look that heavy anymore.
Get your designer to tailor a plain salwaar kameez to go with your heavy dupatta. - Think you can't do anything with your heavy Kanjeevaram saree? Think again.
A new blouse can change the look of your saree. Team it with a noodle strap blouse and drape the saree differently. - If you have a two-piece wedding gown, then wear the top or corset with a different skirt or even jeans.
For a one-piece gown, leave behind the veil and gloves and it will look like a great evening gown! - If you have a plain salwaar kameez and a heavy dupatta, get a plain dupatta to use the outfit for a casual event. Get the salwaar kameez slightly embroidered to make it a bit dressy.
Four Ways to Reconstruct It
- Use the heavily embroidered dupatta to make pants ; it will definitely draw attention! Team the pants with a short top and a scarf; you are ready for your friend's sangeet.
- Cut your ghagra from the centre and then stitch it to make a sharara. Wear it with a short kurta or choli.
- With a saree you have plenty of options. Design a salwaar kameez out of your saree or an indo-western outfit, such as pants and a short kurta. Use the border on the neckline and the pallu as a dupatta, stole or scarf.
- All christian brides can reduce the flare of their wedding gown and wear it for a dinner party. Emerald green chandeliers will look great on a white gown plus give it a new look! Cut the length to make yourself a sexy, short dress.
Make-up and jewellery add to the look of your bridal outfit. If you are wearing your wedding outfit, opt for minimal jewellery and make-up to for a simpler look. So, don't be afraid of wearing it again. Everyone will love it as much as they did the first time!
