To keep yourself warn from within, ah a coffee would help, but if you want a permanent solution try winter inner wear. Don't mistake inner wear for lingerie, as inner wear includes leggings, slips and camisoles.
Thermal inner wear are the most popular and reliable during the cold winters. They are easily available at all hosiery stores in various sizes. But if you are looking for attractive colours you will be a bit disappointed as they are mostly available in white, black, grey and nude.
Winter inner wears are available at a price range of Rs. 99-400. You get them from popular brands such as Lux or Neva (by Duke).
You an also try the non-branded ones. They are cheaper and don't look bad either. But they don't last long, so you will have to discard them and get new ones.
Thicker Fabrics
Net may be in trend, but if it doesn't suit the climate there is no point in considering it in your wedding trousseau.
Raw silk is thick, looks good and is ideal for winters. Make sure you use slimmer cuts as it adds weight on the body.
Certain fabrics such as crepe stick to your body during winters due to static. Even your inner wear won't be useful here.
Cuts for Winter
You need to cover as much as you can for the cold whether, which means say no to noodle straps and backless blouses.
An embroidered Chinese collar will keep your neck warm. If you think this will refrain you from wearing any good jewellery, you can use a heavy pair of earrings.
You can also go for salwaar kameezes; they will cover your entire body. But if your tradition requires the bride to wear a saree make sure you wear skin coloured innerwear. Drape your saree in a way that your midriff is not seen.
