Mumbai: It's a paradox worth watching out for -- designers Swapan and Seema are coming up with their hot new collection, named 'Snow Queen' for the fall-winter.
The designers have tried to bring in a queen's regal splendour in royal colours and heavy Indian embroidery work.
But doesn't the title sound a bit cold for a sizzling collection they are planning? Swapan answers, "The title Snow Queen is our dedication to the ostentatiously beautiful royal robes, the sparkling jewels, the whole aura of surreality that comes with the look. It's the feeling you get when you look at the snow-covered mountain peaks!"

Swapan and Seema's designs have always been influenced by the traditional Indian wear - you get some dazzling saris and gorgeous bridal lehengas in their collections.
This time, the duo has tried a mix of luxurious fabrics and intricate detailing to achieve the snow queen look.
"We have used warm colours like rich plum, rose and burgundy. For the resplendent royal touch, there is delicate burnished gold and copper embroidery, along with crystals and beading," elaborates Swapan.
Another special details about the collection - Swapan says they have kept in mind winter in different regions of India, while selecting the fabric. "India is a huge country and winter means something different in Indian regions. We have picked silks, velvet and heavy-fall satin for the regions that face a lot of cold, while tulle and georgette for a little warmer winter in other regions."
The collection is not all about royal robes and heavy Indian wear, there are a few flirty surprises too. "You can't miss our cocktail dresses and evening wear in pure western cuts, which will have some Indian influence," Seema says.
