Reynolds American
The second largest tobacco company in the US
Susan Ivey, 49 was the first woman to lead a US cigarette company.
She has guided Reynolds through the 2004 merger of R.J. Reynolds and Brown Williamson tobacco.
Net sales totaled $ 8.26 billion, a 28% increase from 2004.
Susan then moved into the smokeless tobacco market by completing the $ 3.5 billion acquisition of Conwood in May last year.
The true beauty of Ivey is that she began as a sales rep in 1981 and rose to chief executive in Brown and Williamson.
She is now a board member of Bellarmine University, Winston Salem YWCA, Wake Forest University, University of Florida Foundation and the Winston-Salem Alliance.
Annual revenue for Reynolds: $ 9.02 billion
