1. Rubbing Dry
You have always rubbed your face to take off all that dirty grime you collected all day. However, you hurt your skin when you do that. Rubbing your face will just damage its sensitive surface. So, just pat it dry with a very soft napkin.
2. Sleeping with Make-Up On
Don't ever sleep with makeup on. Remember it mixes with dirt and sweat. Not taking it off not only causes your skin to look terrible the next day, but according to dermatologist Dr. Satish Udare, it blocks your pores that need to breathe. It may also make you break out in pimples, blackheads and the works.

3. Using New Cosmetics Without Testing
Never use new cosmetic products without doing a patch test first. You never know how you will react to a certain product even though it may claim to be suitable for sensitive skin. Horror stories include rashes, burning, itching etc. So, test it and see how your skin reacts to the product in a day.

4. Using Old Cosmetics
Have an old lipstick that is just the right match for your dress? Well if it's expired, do not use it, even though you promise to apply it just this once. Makeup usually expires in a year and a half. In fact, mascaras need to be thrown out every 3 months!
If your heart skips a beat at the thought of throwing out a costly eye shadow, then own a few products and not many. This way, you will surely finish it off in time and save a lot of cash too.

5. Excessive Bleaching
All women are self conscious about their facial hair. But frequent bleaching is not advisable. Dr. Udare says that women should bleach only if it's really necessary for an occasion. He also says that some people are allergic to the chemicals that bleaches contain. Remember skin on your face is extremely sensitive so do it only under a professional and use a reputed brand.
