Have you wondered what would happen to your tattoo once you grow older? Remember, your tattoos can stay young forever, if you get it done on specific parts of your body.
What Time Does to Tattoos
In a matter of 15 days, the tattoo becomes a part of your skin. So as your body changes, so will your tattoo.
However, tattoos fade over time because of exposure to the sun, regeneration of skin cells and tanning.
Other than that, age will affect it too. Face it; your skin won't remain taut forever. It will sag, get wrinkly and there isn't much you can do to stop it. Once your skin starts to sag, the tattoo that expressed the "inner you" will get distorted.
But wait, this doesn't mean that you shouldn't get a tattoo. Of course you can and there are ways of making it look fantastic even when you are older. It all depends on where you get it done and what design you choose.
Bad Tattoo Spots
1. Chest Tattoos
A popular but terrible place is getting tattooed on your breast.Remember your breasts will start sagging once you hit 40, making your once perfect tattoo look elongated and terrible.
If you really want a tattoo on your chest, get something real tiny (not more than an inch in size) so that time doesn't do much damage to it. Get a tattoo of a tiny butterfly; it will always look pretty there.

2. Stomach Tattoos
Getting the side of your belly tattooed looks extremely feminine. You can carry off a belly tattoo no matter what body type you are. Tattoos here are concealable, so your boss will never know about it.
But if you lose or put on weight drastically, the tattoo will get distorted and not look all that hot. The tattoos will also stretch when you are pregnant. If you still want to get your belly tattooed, a small one like a swirly tribal one (like in the picture above) will look pretty. You could also get stars, they are everlasting. But remember to keep it small.
