Picture Your Bathroom
The first thing to do is decide what you want your bathroom to look like when it is ready. It is hard to imagine a fully finished bathroom when you are standing in your old one. But you definitely have an idea of what you want, don't you?
Well, if you really are clueless when it comes to bathroom tile designs, here are a few ideas that might help you.
1. Use a single colour throughout the bathroom and let the sanitaryware work as accents in a contrasting colour.
2. Divide the upper half of the walls from the lower half by using two different coloured tiles.
3. A border along the middle of the walls can be quite decorative.
4. Intersperse motifs in between tiles of one colour.

Measure Every Inch
The next step is to measure your bathroom. It is easy really… just use the formula 2h (l+b). h is the height of the room, l is the length of the room and b is the breadth of the room. This will give you the area of the walls. Then minus the area of the door and window. The floor area is length × breadth.
Now that you have the area of your bathroom, you will know exactly how many boxes of tiles to buy. So you won't land up overspending.
