Medicines for kids are age-specific. What works for your toddler, may not be the best remedy for your teen and vice versa.
Here are a list of age-specific medical necessities that you should always have at hand.
Tiny Tots
Age: 0-14 months
The medications are similar for both infants and toddlers. However, the dosage varies. Consult your child specialist and make sure you know the right dosages.
- Paracetamol drops for fever and pain.
- Nose buds to remove any pollutants or foreign objects that may be blocking her nasal path. You could also keep saline drops for the same.
- Antibiotic creams for minor cuts and scratches.
- Baby lotion (non-perfumed), especially if your baby has dry skin.
- Sterile cotton balls.
- Creams or ointments for diaper rashes.
- Your baby is teething around this age. So keep a teething ring handy.
- Once your baby starts solid and other formula foods, she will be prone to vomiting or diarrhoea. So always keep re-hydration fluids at hand.
