
Now that you have collected sample swatches of your favourite colours, textures, prints and patterns, it is time to arrange them on the board. But you cannot just put them in random order. You need to arrange them the way you want them to appear in your room.
For instance, if the mood board is for your living room, feel free to have bright colours dominate the space. But if it is for a bedroom, you might want to introduce the bright colours more subtly because you need to be able to relax in this space.
Always remember to arrange the swatches the way you want those colours etc. to appear in the room. For instance, the colours you want to dominate the room should be in the background but prominent while the accent colours should be in smaller swatches in the foreground.
