Being a woman you cannot be neglected or discriminated from a family will. Here is what the Hindu law lays down and which are your rights.

If you are married and were to die before the will is prepared, then your children will be the legal heirs to your fortune. The property will be divided in the same way if you were to be alive and then your part will be divided among your children.
If you are married and have children and your husband dies without preparing a will, then know this - you as a widow have a right to a share in his property. Again it won't be an equal share. His property will be divided 1/3rd each between you, his children and his mother (if she is alive).
