That little stick has turned blue! Yes, you are pregnant. You are probably concerned about what will happen to your body… the morning sickness, the stretch marks and so on. Here's a quick take on what to expect when you are expecting.
First TrimesterIn the first trimester your breasts will seem fuller, tender and might have bluish veins. This happens as the pregnancy hormone triggers the maturation process in the mammary glands. The feeling is just like the one you get before your periods. Your nipples may also seem darker than usual.
You may also urinate more frequently. During pregnancy, your blood is more dilute, which improves filtering by the kidneys.
Most pregnant women experience morning sickness. So you are likely to be nauseas and even vomit. The slightest whiff of food might annoy you. On the other hand, you might also have food cravings. Eat what you feel like, but do so in moderation.
Occasional indigestion and a bloated feeling are also common complaints. You can help this by eating small meals, more frequently. Keep fried and fatty foods to a minimum and drink plenty of water.
Constipation is also common. But don't worry. It can be easily relieved with a fibre rich diet and plenty of fluids.
You may also have frequent headaches. So be sure to get plenty of rest. The hormonal changes are likely to darken your complexion and even cause an outbreak of pimples. Keep your skin clean by washing it twice a day a mild face wash.
