Amniocentesis is a procedure in which the fluid surrounding the foetus is tested, while in another test called Chorionic Villus Sampling tests the cells of the placenta. These and more such special tests detect chromosomal and genetic defects in the foetus and check is the baby is in a condition to be delivered safely. They may be recommended in special cases.
10. Regular Blood Pressure and Weight Check
It is very important to keep a tab on your blood pressure and weight gain, which indicates the baby’s growth. Make it a point to check your BP and weight whenever you visit your gynaecologist.
