I had an oval American Pyrex plate heirloom. It was the last of the set and I decided to keep it despite it being chipped. In six months flat I collected a hundred pieces- the cups, serving dishes, plates and more.

I visit Chor Bazaar every week. That is my Sunday evening ritual. So I never take client appointments from 5 to 7 pm on Sundays. I have also bought a number of things from antique markets in Mumbai and London.

Members of my community know I am a collector so whenever they are disposing of their furniture they make me the first offer. If I am looking for something, I spread the word to antique dealers and put ads in newspapers too.
