Monisha Jaisingh has always had a way with those intricate designs and minute detailing. She loves the patterns embroidered on her 'favourite canvas' -- the apparel.

Her collection this season spoke of a urbane modern-day Indian woman, still rooted in the Indian culture. The hemlines receded and greys, blues and blacks were prominent but (to our delight!) Monisha's trademark paisleys and floral patterns remained.

The bright splashes of china blue on this top, with a sequined denim (definitely a must-have this season) is nice stuff all right. The deep blue leggings are cool, but what is with the sparkling ballerina shoes? Why take them on the ramp, when you can see them, everywhere off it?
