Superstar Amitabh Bachchan decided to talk to the media about his film Cheeni Kum but this time after the release.
Bachchan was in a colourful mood and a colourful shirt, which he refused to give to CNN-IBN’s Rohit Khilnani.
CNN-IBN: There are rave reviews of Cheeni Kum. So, what is the best thing that you have heard about the movie?
Amitabh Bachchan: I judge the caliber of the film and my performance by the SMSs that people send me. I like what they say so I store them in my phone. I am afraid I can't share them with you but they are like a life support system for me. Every time that I am depressed or in a sad mood I pull out the messages and read them. So, that is how I get the adrenaline going again. It's really good for my system.
CNN-IBN: In Cheeni Kum you were a very convincing cook. Can you cook in real life too?
Amitabh Bachchan: I can't make a thing. I am a really bad cook and I don't even get into the kitchen. My eating habits are very simple, I am a vegetarian and I can eat the same food for years together.
CNN-IBN: What is important, good reviews or box office figures?
Amitabh Bachchan: I think a bit of both. It's nice to hear people say nice things about you and then at the same time crticise your work and point out your mistakes and errors. It's nice to read criticism. Box office results are required for obvious reasons. Box office is through which everyone benefits and we as well. So, it's a bit of both.
