Mumbai: Master Pieces - Galerie de Designe presents a new Italian product line – The Mariani Affreschi frescos – for the first time in India. This collection of frescos in all sizes and designs are guaranteed with a quality and authenticity certificate.
Mariani Affreschi is one of the oldest established companies supplying authentic frescos throughout the world, adding a new dimension to the interior design trade. They revived the noble art of frescos, which once decorated villas, palaces and churches.

Following the ancient technique of fresco and the so-called "Calicot" method of "strappo do muro" (pulling of the fresco), the frescos adorn private houses, restaurants, hotels, churches, chapels and shopping centers around the world. The motifs of art range from the classical depictions of Michelangelo and Tiepolo, to scenes with a modern flavor as inspired by Van Gogh and Miro. They also include trompe l'oeil, warm still life and religious representations true to the originals.
The term "fresco" is used to indicate a type of wall painting made with colored, mixed or water diluted pigments which are spread on a fresh layer of plaster, using lime as white.
The "Calicot" technique gives splendid results and is a slow progress with corrections that are not possible to be made.
