Mumbai: Tao Art Gallery along with Gallery Threshold presents recent paintings by V.Ramesh at the TAO Art Gallery.
The exhibition is on till 26th October 2007.
In this exhibition V.Ramesh showcases his series of works, based on photographs sourced from the Ramana ashram, as a personal homage to Sri Ramana Maharishi.
Moving away from his usual brightly colored palette - using muted tones and expressive renderings in lines - Ramesh evokes the presence of the great sage.
A contemporary of Gandhiji, Sri Ramana was an outstanding exemplar of the path of knowledge in the 20th century.
Carl Jung called him, "A true son of the Indian earth - the whitest spot in the white spot of Indian monism."
