Legendary actor Shammi Kapoor's son Aditya Raj, who is fondly called Mickey, is making his acting debut.

And a debut unlike any other star son, since Aditya is not playing a college-going chocolate hero.

This 51-years-young budding actor is interested in mature, older roles.

"I'ma  late bloomer for sure," laughs Aditya, "Legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan's role in the film Cheeni Kum inspired me to take the plunge."

He has just completed a Hindi film where he plays an older man in love with a 24-year girl. But he's not at liberty to talk about the project.
