Mumbai: Shootout at Lokhandwala is an out and out guns and guys flick and actor Sanjay Dutt, in a candid chat with CNN-IBN says that the guys scene on the sets was also amazing fun.
CNN-IBN: Did you hear of the shootout at Lokhandwala before the film was ever conceived?
Sanjay Dutt: Ya absolutely. The day the shootout happened, I was shooting at Chandivilli studios and a team of police officers came there and they wanted to borrow the lights from the sets as it was getting slightly dark and they wanted to light up the building to carry on their investigations. So we asked them what's happening and they said there was a shootout at Lokhandwala and that it had been going on for the last couple of hours. We were pretty shocked.
CNN-IBN: You are playing A A Khan's role. Have you ever met him in real life?
Sanjay Dutt: Yes I have met Khan sahab several times and he is acting in the film also. I had the pleasure of sitting and talking to him and observing him a bit.
CNN-IBN: You haved played a cop's role many times - in Kurukshetra and Eklavya - but this is something where you could actually take inspiration from someone else.
Sanjay Dutt: Yes absolutely. Actually you see, the shootout is such a known event and it was nice just to hear Khan sahab, observe his body language and learn the way he used to dress up those days and stuff.
CNN-IBN: You all were a big team as is obvious from the posters and the promos. So was it a riot on the sets once again, like always on your sets?
Sanjay Dutt: Ya, ya it was great fun, what with Arbaaz and Suniel and me all there. It was great, great fun.
