Rohit Khilnani: After the Orkut craze, social networking website Facebook seems to be attracting quite a few eyeballs. And following what most of the youngsters are doing - moving from Orkut to Facebook – some celebrities from the Indian film industry have also logged on.

"I have moved from Orkut to Facebook," admits music director Ehsaan.

With busy schedules and lack of time to meet in person, this is the place where most of the networking is done nowadays.

"To be very honest, for me Facebook is about keeping in touch with friends. There are only two places I visit there – The Wall and the Box. I have never responded to poke, bite, squeeze or drink etc. As if I will get high on a drink on Facebook!" laughs actor Gul Panag.

Reconnect with old friends and Make Friends Online

On Facebook you will find actors like Abhishek Bachchan, Rahul bose and Gul Panag to filmmakers like Rahul Rawail, Shaad Ali and Deepak Tijori. Their friends know all about their whereabouts and work as they keep their profile updated by the minute.

"There is a posting on my Wall that says: go watch Manorama Six Feet Under (Gul’s next film). At least 46 people have assured me they will," says Gul Panag.

Music director Ehsaan wants all his friends to know what he is up to and he does that just with the help of a few clicks.

"I take a lot of pictures and upload all my photos so my friends know what I am doing. I have also interacted with many music directors from across the world," he says.

But mind you, you will also find endless number of fake profiles. Search for Arjun Rampal and you get not one but seven! Now which is the real one? May be none.

Not too many actors like the idea of journalists calling them all the time to know what they are up to and feel Facebook is a place they can get all updates from.
